Each year, Golden Sierra provides career counseling, financial aid, and training opportunities to more than 200 local residents. Nick took advantage of the vocational training program and applied for a scholarship to obtain his Class A driver’s license.

While still in training, Nick received a great offer to work for a communications company. He would drive the bucket truck and assist the lineman working on the telephone poles. Nick said, “I feel like I finally made something of myself – I finally reached adulthood.” He encouraged others who are thinking about vocational training to contact Golden Sierra. He said, “the entire process was very pleasant and the staff helped me become more competitive in the job market.”
