Meet Vickie. She’s a Marketing Manager with over 30 years of solid work experience. Unfortunately, Vickie lost her job due to a reduction in force. The last time she looked for work was 1986! Vickie was struggling to secure a new position with a decent salary because her skills and certifications were outdated.

She applied for a training scholarship through Golden Sierra and enrolled in a Graphic Design program. Golden Sierra also helped Vickie qualify for California Training Benefits; this allowed her to keep her unemployment insurance while she attended school.
