Ted lost his job unexpectedly about a year ago. He said he “was terrified” because he was the sole provider for his family.

Being resourceful, Ted researched job training programs and located Golden Sierra. He was interested in nursing and wanted to learn more about the WIOA program.

He then enrolled in a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, successfully completed the training, and found a full-time job (with benefits) as a CNA. This experience is helping him further his goals. He was accepted into the Nursing degree program at Sacramento State and graduated as a Registered Nurse.
