Statistics show that 80% of people that die by suicide are of working ages, 18 to 65. As adults spend about one-third of their lives at work, the workplace can be an opportune platform to help support those in need.
You’ll hear practical tips focused on psychological first aid not only for the veteran population, but all others. Learn how to identify the myths about suicide, know the warning signs, how to effectively communicate with a suicidal person, and how to help them obtain evaluation and treatment.
Participants will learn the following:
*Suicide warning signs *How to act during a conversation *How to ask the right questions *Available support resources
