WIOA Local & Regional Plans

The Golden Sierra Workforce Board is an industry-led board of directors who identify and solve problems within key economic sectors in the tri-county region (Placer, El Dorado and Alpine). These private sector business leaders volunteer their time to assist with the coordination and alignment of a myriad of partners and products. The work they do is an investment that increases employability and business success, while creating relationships across a broad partnership.

The Workforce Board is a separate entity from the Golden Sierra Job Training Agency whose staff provide administrative assistance to the Board.

Mission:
The Golden Sierra Workforce Board convenes industry leaders and key partners to identify workforce initiatives, create innovative solutions, and measure the success of systems’ ability to meet industry and workforce needs.

Vision:
A fully integrated workforce system that capitalizes on the expertise of industry and workforce partners to continuously meet the needs of business, and facilitate pathways to success for students, workers and job seekers.
