Placer Veterans Stand Down

A modern Stand Down is modeled after the Stand Down concept that was used during the Vietnam War. Exhausted combat troops were provided a safe environment to rest, recover, receive meals, and enjoy some much-needed, friendly camaraderie. Similarly, this event will offer all veterans medical care, dental care, vision care, food, legal services, housing assistance, employment assistance, pet care, clothing, hair cuts, camaraderie, and more – all in a safe environment. All services are provided free of charge to veterans and their families.
