Best Tools for Virtual and Distance Learning

Mondays, 9:00 am – 11:00 am

Learn how to set up your virtual learning environment so you can successfully take classes online. You will learn to use Gmail, Google Meet, and Google Classroom and how to set up a Google account and register as a student of Placer School for Adults.

Career Exploration: Making Solid Career Choices

Mondays, 11:15 am – 12:15 pm

In this workshop, you will explore websites that offer self-assessment tools to measure the areas of your job interests. You will study occupational similarities, education and training requirements, salary trends, and job opportunities. Gain information on potential career options that align with your personality, values, interests and aptitudes so you can chart your course for future employment and career advancement opportunities. The instructor will hold office hours from 12:15 pm – 12:45 pm.

LinkedIn – Building Job Search Connections

Mondays, 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm

You will be introduced to LinkedIn where you will establish an account, create your unique profile, build your network, and learn to post content and send messages. You’ll also learn to research prospective employers and expand your job search. Online etiquette, privacy and professionalism will be featured.
