Also welcome to attend are individuals supporting/providing services to job seekers, employers, vocational rehabilitation professionals, or individuals who have a strong interest in supporting people to achieve, succeed, and secure their dreams.
February’s Topic: Disability Disclosure and Requesting and Negotiating Accommodations at Work Job seekers with disabilities can benefit from knowing strategies for disability disclosure, asserting their rights under title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and requesting and negotiating reasonable accommodations at work. This presentation will introduce attendees to the free Job Accommodation Network (JAN) service, offer practical tips for disability disclosure and how to leverage the ADA to request job accommodations, and will empower job seekers with disabilities to self-advocate in the workplace.
