The Get Hired: Government Jobs event provides an excellent opportunity to connect with multiple hiring managers from several government agencies with local job openings.


May 10th, 9 AM-2 PM: Get Hired Workshops

Come learn tips about the hiring and application process when looking for a government job

May 11th, 11 AM-1 PM: Virtual Networking

Chat LIVE with recruiting teams from a variety of government agencies

  1. Set up your profile (customize with a professional-looking photo and your experience)
  2. Watch the Tutorial videos or attend a live training Q&A
  3. Bookmark the login page for easy access to your account
  4. Visit employer booths on the preview days, and research participating companies and their current job openings
  5. Make sure to avoid EXTERNAL DISTRACTIONS & TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES during the virtual event
  6. Prepare a short personalized introduction to describe your relevant skills and experience and let the employers know why you would be a good fit for their position(s)
  7. Remember, on the day of the event, the recruiters are there to help! Be prepared.

Be friendly and responsive, participate in conversations within the chat, and ask relevant questions

Wear business attire that is professional, clean, wrinkle-free, and well-fitting. Be prepared to accept an invitation to connect on camera. Dressing for the job you’re targeting is highly essential, even if you’re connecting with hiring managers from across the screen
